About The Great North Run The Great North Run is the UK's biggest and best half marathon which has attracted world class athletes like Mo Farah and Hannah Russel. You will be joined by 60,000 other runners taking on the 13.1 mile route through Newcastle, over the iconic Tyne Bridge and finishing in the town of South Shields.
