Dystonia Matters Live 2023

From all of as at Team Dystonia UK, a huge thank you for joining us at Dystonia Matters Live 2023!

In Summer of 2023 we had the pleasure of meeting many of you at our very own #DMLive2023 up in Newcastle!

It was a wonderful opportunity for people living with dystonia and professionals alike to come together to talk all things dystonia. We discussed everything from getting the best out of the NHS to exercising with dystonia, from important policy issues to looking after our mental health. We even threw an 80s party to celebrate Dystonia UK's 40th anniversary!

Thank you to all of our speakers for giving up their time and expertise to join us at this event. It was true privilege to listen to so many of our patient speakers talk with such raw honesty about their experiences and we know this was extremely valuable for many of you who attended.

We’d like to thank our generous sponsors for helping make this event happen.

Sponsors. A big thanks to our sponsors whose support has made this event possible. Gold sponsor: Merz. Silver sponsors: Ipsen & PTC Therapeutics. A big thanks also to the members of the Dystonia UK North East support group & donors to our #JustOnePound Campaign who have also kindly supported this event.

Thank you to all our volunteers from across the country who supported this event with everything from building goody bags to sourcing last minute helium!

Last but not least, we’d like to thank those who joined us for making this such a fabulous event. We were so glad so many of you were there to share your stories and support others on similar journeys.

Finally, if you didn't manage to join, you can watch recordings from the event below and we'll be releasing more in the future so watch this space!

This event has now passed, but please do sign up to our e-news so you can be the first to hear about our future events.
